I am looking for advice. I just started back to school this week. I am carrying a full load and I also work at an insurance agency 30 hours a week. On the weekends, my mom ususally comes down to stay and often brings the baby that I mentioned in the prayer request post. Of course, I have church on Sunday and I also have a Thursday evening bible study that I will be participating in this fall. Needless to say, I am a little overwhelmed. My house is a mess. I am tired all the time and I am stressed out! I need to come up with a plan to get myself organized and my time managed efficiently. At this point when I am looking at all I have to do, I just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions that anyone might have.
What has helped you become/stay organized?

relax when you can
good luck
Thanks Ellen! That is the website I've been trying to think of. Some women I used to chat with online told me about that site, but I couldn't remember the name.
I've been sitting here trying to make up a mock-schedule.

Yeah, I mock my schedules all the time...
I just spent hours putting together lesson plans for Amanda (look for her on the blog)
;-)
I had another thought - I need the paper planner, but my son is using my "anytime deluxe" software so that his daily schedule pops up every time he logs onto his computer.
I did that for a while, putting my "flylady" basics in there, so I had to look at it several times daily.
This may not be much help but I didn't see the idea present here yet. Is it possible you're doing too much? Is there something you could cut back on, maybe even just a little? Is everything you're doing in life directly in-line with your purpose?
I am not sure where I could cut back. I work and go to school. The work is necessary to sustain myself and I have sacrificied a lot to put myself through school so that I can better myself. I am taking 12 hours this semester and probably more next semester so that I can finish up in May.
Of course, I am not going to stop going to church. I also think that the Thursday evening bible study I signed up for this fall is important for my spiritual growth. Also, I think it is important for me to make friends with people who are Christians. Because I just started going to church last year, most of my friends are not Christians. I have had to make a lot of changes in my lifestyle since becoming a Christian because my previous friends/lifestyle was not conducive to sustaining my faith.
I agree with Frank. I think you need to prayerfully consider what you could let go of. It might not be what you want to do...but pray about it and think about it. I don't think God wants us wearing ourselves out so that we are so stressed we can't hear him.
I've been in your shoes before. That is all I have to offer. Hope things work out well for you and I will be adding you to my prayer list.

Sometimes it really is the organization, not the amount.
If Gina says that she needs organizational help, maybe she's right.
I think the challanges that I face when I am overloaded, it switching gears. Also, no matter how much I focus on one task, the others are in the back of my head. Well, this might sound corney, but at the beginning of each day, set minny goals in each area. Then, if you finish each goal, then that is all you're able to do that day. You can only do so much in a day, and Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow. Day by day is the best anybody can do! I'm tellin' ya, minny goals.
